your family grows...
…and exciting times are ahead of you. Everybody is excitedly awaiting the baby and once it arrives, your family’s structure will rearrange.
This situation provokes various intense emotions in your older child/ children. It can be quite challenging for parents to deal with these mixed feelings of the soon-to-be big brothers and sisters.

The attachment-parenting sibling class consists of two parts. The first part is adressed to children between the age of approximately two to eight years who will soon get a little brother or sister. The second part – an online course – is devoted to you parents to help you prepare for the upcoming time.
The first part takes place on a Satuday in Zurich as a siblings class. The children can spent precious qualitytime with their accompanying person and will be a playfully prepared on being a sibling. A glimpse into everyday life with a newborn will help the future siblings to better understand what will expect them. This reduces uncertainty. While we sing together and craft a little present for the baby, the anticipation for the little one is rising. Finally, each child receives a little gift and a souvenir.
The second part of the course consists of an online course for parents, called “Wir wachsen”. It contains helpful information on attachment, development and brain research that might help you guide your older child through the upcoming changes. Being well prepared, you as a parent will understand the older child better and be able to guide it through a potential sibling rivalry.
The online course is also available separately. It is held in German but the videos do have an English subtitle.
